Spring is in the air and the March calendar is full of fun events at Lake & Local! Here is what to expect this month:
SWEET EATS CHARCUTERIE CLASS
WHEN: Saturday, March 4th - 11AM-1PM
COST: $90 per person
Local chef Brent Mero has led four amazing charcuterie classes here at the shop, but for the Sweet Eats class, he's changing it up and offering a dessert charcuterie class. Learn how to create a beautiful and deliciously sweet charcuterie board perfect for get-togethers of all kinds. You also get to keep your wood charcuterie board!
LUNCH & LEARN: IPHONE 101
WHEN: Tuesday, March 7th - 11:30AM-1PM
COST: $25 per person
Led by Lake & Local co-owner Kirsten Thompson, participants will enjoy lunch at 11:30am followed by instruction that will take the confusion out of your iPhone. You will learn photo storage & organization tips that save your phone storage, take a deep dive into your phone's settings to customize your iPhone just for you, learn more about managing your apps and customizing your home screen, and so much more! Lunch is included.
CAMELLIA CLASS
WHEN: Saturday, March 11th - 12PM-1:30PM
COST: $30 per person
Local horticulturist Tom McClendon will lead participants through a brief presentation explaining more about the varieties of camellias and how to grow them in your own garden. Afterwards, you will enjoy a hands-on project to take home. Plants will be available for sale. Lunch included.
LADIES NIGHT OUT: DIY WOOD SIGN WORKSHOP
WHEN: Thursday, March 16th - 6PM-8PM
COST: varies based on sign selection
Ladies, grab your friends and bring your wine and enjoy a fun night of DIY craftiness! Choose from several sign designs, then learn how to customize your sign with stain and paint colors. You will leave with a beautiful wood sign you'll be proud to display in your home!
BOSS'S BRUNCH: SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
WHEN: Wednesday, March 22nd - 9AM-10:30AM
COST: $30 per person
Led by Lake & Local co-owner Kirsten Thompson, small business owners will gain confidence in their social media marketing. With more than 12 years of experience, Kirsten will share tips for creating content, scheduling content, understanding hashtags, and more, You'll learn more about Facebook's Meta Business Suite, and as a bonus, you'll learn how to set up and use Campsite.bio. Brunch included.
DIY CLAY EARRINGS WORKSHOP
WHEN: Saturday, March 25th - 12PM-2PM
COST: $60 per person
Local clay artist Crystal McElheney will lead participants through a fun and unique clay marbling technique, then teach them how to make two pairs of earrings from start to finish. Participants will leave with their handmade earrings. Lunch included.
